DRUŠTVO SLOVENSKIH FILMSKIH IN TELEVIZIJSKIH PREVAJALCEV – DSFTP

Društvo slovenskih filmskih in televizijskih prevajalcev je organizacija, ki združuje prevajalce

avdiovizualnih vsebin. Društvo si prizadeva ohranjati visoko raven prevajalskega dela in spodbujati prevajalce k strokovnemu izpopolnjevanju, medije pa k zagotavljanju kakovostnih prevodov avdiovizualnih vsebin, saj so te prek različnih medijev dosegljive že skoraj vsakomur in zato pomembno vplivajo na razvoj slovenske jezikovne kulture.

Nalogi društva sta tudi varovanje pravic in koristi prevajalcev ter skrb za spoštovanje njihovega avtorskega dela.

THE ASSOCIATION OF SLOVENIAN FILM AND TELEVISION TRANSLATORS

The Association of Slovenian Film and Television Translators is an organisation which brings together creators of audio-visual translations. This Association works towards preserving the high quality of their work and encourages the translators to continue their betterment within this specialised field of work. Through the various media formats, audio-visual translation plays an essential, yet often underrated role in the development regarding the usage of the Slovenian language and its promotion, and so the Association strives to enlighten the media with respect to the importance of providing high quality audio-visual translations.

The role of the Association is also to protect the rights and interests of the translators and to ensure that their original work and copyrights are duly respected and protected.
